The Master Of The Game

A glorious start to his career this year at the SCG on the day three of India’s Second test against the mighty Aussies .He is back with a bang with a Ton piling up another one to the feats achieved by the maestro .The ball just easing through the field ,placed perfectly with a fluent cover drive and all the way to the boundary .That’s Tendulkar for U .Scoring at a considerable pace with just no flaw n making his way to his Ton with such craftsmanship is just a feast to the eyes(even for the aussies but sometimes a pain in the neck though).








Missing out several hundred’s in 07 with just a few runs to spare and accepting the fact of being given out by the Umpire is pretty hard for anyone and coming back again to the crease punching through the offside , flicking away to the boundary, playing a flamboyant innings to be remembered by everyone on the ground is just toooooo…hard .Sachin has proved it again that it toooooooo….easy and that’s the right spirit in the which game so called “cricket” has to be played.

I think he is in love with SCG or is it just his magnificent form?.The way in which he crafted his double ton making an astounding 241* with lax partnering him with a carefully constructed ton made out of his classy square cuts ,on drives and punches through the off standing tall was just like Blitzkrieg and it will always be remembered in the minds of everybody(even the maestro himself). And an interesting fact is that he hasn’t got out even once at the SCG .Just running down the memory lane makes everyone so much excited sending shrills through the spineof each and every fan .He just makes us feel the same way( even after a long and breathtaking career of 17 yrs )each and every moment when he is at the crease and always gives us hope of winning the match.





After a long winning streak(15 consecutive wins in test matches ”enna oru villathanam” ) for the aussies I think its abt time to shatter it into pieces and the men behind the success must be The Master ,Prince ,The wall along with sinuous lax from Hyderabad .The Jumbo and Turbanator just drilling through the pitches making use of even a hint of a crack which makes the ball kick into pace or skidding through the pitch(like the ball hasn’t pitched at all)making the batsmen dumbstruck(its like “na kuda koncha nerathula shock ayten”) contribute a lot to the team’s success.

The variety of shots that he plays are so many and he just plays it to perfection rarely showing flaws(i think it happens out of too much bad luck in favor of him)like the way he got out due to an inside edge onto the stumps when he tries to cut the ball towards point .Anyway the way he pierces the field at ease is just remarkable .I don’t think there is any other player who plays Warne and Murali much better than Sachin(NO FEAR. “nangalam singam le”,”evana irunthalum adippen”).He just gets down to the pitch of the ball and hammers it all over the ground simply clearing the ropes at his own accord .Hope this year turns out to be a productive year for both Sachin as well as for the Indian Cricket.
